syok & sedap!
last saturday we went to our 1st ever raya open houses in melbourne this year... (mesia hall tu tak kirala) we went to Abg Rahmat's & Dr.Azman's place to be exact... they were not really having open house la coz we were the only people that they actually entertained... hehe but then looking at the heaps of food that Kak Lin (Dr.Azman's wife) served fit the occassion to be an open house indeed... the two of us couldn't possibly finish them all! siap bawak balik umah tu....
we had nasi impit + kuah kacang + lontong + rendang + sambal goreng + laksa johor lagi.... pergh.. puas ati! ops not to forget, some cakes & biskut raya of course... & a plate of karipap!... which i brought from home... among my summer achievement... i made some karipap!
i was proud coz i never made my own karipap before this... yerla asyik beli kat kedai jer.. :P hehe actually i did, but obviously my mom was always in the kitchen all along... so i was more like an assistant... hmmm being away from home is somehow a blessing in disguise... not only i'm here to improve my academic life... but i actually improved my cooking skills! heheh... i'm no more mom's assistant... well, i did occasionally called home for some advice on how to do things & recipes :)
i just looooveee cooking, i'm not actually good with it... but it fascinates me more compared to the things that i'm studying right now... i would rather watch a cooking programme on TV rather than the hi-tech, computer, technology etc. show... i should be taking a degree related to food or cooking la in the 1st place... see! now i'm stuck with all these computer management thingy, kan dah pening... hehe
