Iftar, Afifah & Research
Iftar:
i think that the last and only happening iftar that we had till now was the one in Dengkil.... the rest of iftars that we had since then was kinda boring... only the two of us who are losing our appetite over most of our iftar meals and it seems to get worst day by day.... don't get me wrong... it's not that we're being ungrateful with what we had... i realise that there are more unfortunate people out there who can't really enjoy iftar like we do... i am grateful... it's just that i wish, we could have a more enjoyable iftar with our friends & family like we use to have several years ago... hmmm, on that note, we've turned down many iftar invitations of our friends & families as they were all held in KL!
we just have to face the fact that our life have changed & we feel that being in a place where we are away from our good friends and families contribute to that. I do realise that we just need to adapt & make new friends but somehow since i got this job it seems that i'm very bad at socializing with people. I thought i'm the only one who face this problem... but when i drag ad to this life, he's having the same problem too... Oh, we just miss life in KL!
Other not so boring iftars that we had:
- @ Anjung Warisan last Sunday: after 3 big tawafs of the Hutan Bandar with a wrong direction from our cousin we finally got to sit crosslegged & satisfy our hunger... afifah could even sleep soundly on my lap while i eat... the food bolehla...
- @ Mak Jah's with Prof Mawar (her treat) & other research students: afifah was really well behaved sitting still at my lap till just before dessert, then she starts to wail... hehe i just have to excuse myself & miss the jemaah maghrib & tarawih prayers... the food pun, bolehla...
see... something is wrong with our appetite, yet to find meals that really taste good and we could really enjoy for our iftar... even my own cooking seems tasteless nowadays... & no, i'm not losing weight either! which are frustrating too despite the fact that i'm losing my appetite :P
Afifah:
Afifah's been having new milestones: updated in the table below
- starts to grab various objects & put them in her mouth everytime...
- had her 1st day at the nursery last tuesday... the babysitters hardly had any problem with her... it's just that we forgot to bring along her play gym, so she couldn't be left on her own for long... need to be held frequently... but that shouldn't be a big problem for now for the 2 babysitters as afifah is the only baby & their only client in the nursery... :)
Research:
seems to be well progressing but still worries me much! A lot of confusion here & there & i'm definite that the confusion will always be there till i end the whole thing... hopefully on time & successfully... AMIN!!!
