Karnival Melbourne & Children Lantern Festival
There was another event in Malaysia Hall yesterday, Karnival Melbourne 2005... it was inaugurated by Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shafie Apdal... there were lots of authentic Malaysian food... nyam2, lucky draws & games. Despite the occasional drizzle throughout the day & even shower late in the afternoon, it didn't spoil the festivity of the event... I think it was more exciting than the Fiesta Merdeka last week... and what made it even better, all the food were free!!! alhamdulillah... kenyang!
on our way back, singgah pulak Federation Square... there were Children Lantern Festival organized by the Vietnamese community here... it was interesting, lots of souvenir & food stalls, games for the kids & traditional performance... we where stuck there for awhile, despite of the Vietnamese language being used for most of the performances which made us tak paham sepatah haram... we were awed by the performances of the cute children... comey sgt! even the tah hapa2 things that they say pun made them looked so cute in their traditional customes tu...
