Bride & Prejudice...

went for a movie last night... we watched 'Bride & Prejudice'... yup, we both are hindi movies die hard fan couple... hehe... okla, not really die hard la... but then we really enjoyed most of the hindi movies esp during shah rukh khan, kajol, etc. etc. ( i can't really remember the names of the rest of them...see i'm not really die hard one...) were really popular back then... mind you, we actually watched 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' for our first date tau! hehe & later we had our own 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' :) it seems like it has been ages since we last watched a hindi movie... i think last one that we watched was 'Mohabbatein'

anyway, back to the movie last night... it was a really entertaining movie, with a quite typical hindi movies plot... but this one was adapted from the Pride & Prejudice novel by Jane Austen... one of my literature text in form 2 during my BBGS days... I enjoyed reading ...err actually studying the novel itself back then... but seeing it being adapted into a hindi movie was really interesting! Well, it was not actually 100% hindi movie as it was in English instead of Hindi language.. & the hero was an American! Alexis Bledel a.k.a Rory Gilmore from my fav sitcom the Gilmore Girls was also in it as the hero's sister... :) + several other American @ UK actor/actress.... other than that, the movie was hindi alright... the colourful costumes, the dances, the sceneries, the singing... we were tapping our feet at times enjoying the song & dance... feel like dancing along too hehe... heh! the songs were also in Englishla but in hindi tune... haha interesting eh.. I think Ashawarya Rai the heroin gained a bit of weight since i last saw her acts... but she's still beautiful... :) she should be... an ex-Miss World what...hehe

the cinema was quite pack & it was interesting to see all the people from different races watching the movie here in Australia... there were Australians, Chinese, Indians, Indonesian & us the Malays :) & it seems everybody were enjoying the movie as the cinema was full of laughter throughout the movie... & nobody even budged from their seats when the credits started to appear on the screen... because at the same time the spoilt scenes were also shown... until the background song & and the scenes ended then only people started to leave their seats...

seronok!
