back home sweet home...
huh.. here we are... back to our home sweet home... a bit worn out after the 5 days vacation but we did anjoyed ourselves...
after we bid goodbye to najib, ita & aliff, we left gold coast & went to Dini's place in brisbane... ad drove for about 45 minutes through the pacific highway & i slept throughout the journey still haven't fully recovered from the bad headache i had after the nasty ride in dreamworld the day before... but i didn't 100% blame the ride for the headache... it must be the weather too...
arrived at st. lucia around noon & just in time to join Dini & Huda for lunch... after lunch, Dini, Huda & their friend Suraya took us for a visit around Brisbane city... we took a ride on a city cat (a taxi boat) along the brisbane river... then we walked to several interesting places in the city & snapped some pictures... the Brisbane city seems much bigger than melbourne...
later in the evening we went to hanif's place in ipswich which about 40 minutes drive from brisbane... he has a very nice place, fully furnished with a very good studying environment too... all the blocks are named after the top universities in UK... anyway thanx hanif... it's nice to see u too... so how was the exam... hope u were doing alright... :) on our way back we had nandos for dinner...
the next day we packed our lunch & headed for the home of crocodile hunter... the australia zoo... the zoo are situated 1 hour drive away from the city... luckily the weather were turning milder that day... in fact it was raining when we arrived at the zoo...
did some interesting activities at the zoo... fed the elephants, and the kanggaro.. pat the koala, snake, parrot, camel, cattle... we had close encounter with many of the animals there... it was fun! of course we snapped lots & lots of pictures... tried to catch up with steve irwin the crocodile hunter himself... but he just ran away with a motorbike when there were so many people chasing him around the zoo... huhu too bad, luckily there were lots of steve's replicas around the zoo.. :)
need to rush back to brisbane after that to pick our baggage... thanked Dini & friends for being great hosts & drove all the way back to gold coast airport to catch our flight that evening... arrived at the airport just on time to return the rented car & checked in our flight... flew back to melbourne & found ourselves shivering in the evening breeze once we touched down... after days of warm weather getting tanned and all we are back in our sweaters in melbourne...
